Question: how much of your senior grades goes towards the gpa you send to colleges? how does that work out?

chances
-Not bad -> Decent # of hours, internship, competitive GPA and SAT score.
-Not good -> ECs; I have no idea how dedicated you are to your ECs as you don’t give me an idea of awards or achievements.
I think you have a shot at getting into Cornell, but honestly, I don’t think anyone in the world can give you accurate chances - I’m in the same boat as you. The people who are in a position to give REAL chances (admissions officers) won’t.

Aside -> Maybe you should write a good activities essay or additional information section or get your college counselor to write a good rec for you so that you can demonstrate how much your ECs actually matter to you.

If you are following a trend of improvement, your senior grades may be very important to the admissions officers. Otherwise, it may not matter. Try not to let your grades slip at least.

I think you have a great shot. Excellent all around application - good SAT, GPA, you’ve done some EC’s, you should be fine. Good luck, and most of all relax.
