Chances?????

I am from an extremely competitive public high school in Texas that doesn't rank, but here are my stats:
weighted gpa: 94.945 (the only one UT will see)
I took the both the SAT and ACT twice, and didn't study any of the times...
SAT 1st time: Critical Reading: 610, Math: 630, Writing: 560 (writing is definitely my weak point) (1800)
SAT 2nd time: CR: 580, Math: 680, Writing: 570 (1830)
ACT 1st time: English: 28, Math: 28, Reading: 28, Science: 26 (Composite: 28)
ACT 2nd time: English: 31, Math: 32, Reading: 23, Science: 28 (Composite: 29)

I have taken 8 AP Classes and everything else Pre AP

Extra-Curricular Activities:
Choir
Cross Country (Co-Captain sr. year)
Track
Swim Team
200+hours of community service (including working at a hospital)

I have very strong essays and 3 excellent recommendations (one being from a well known alum)

I am applying to Pre-Nursing first choice and Natural Sciences second

I know my chances are slim, but what do you think?

I think you have a chance provided the strong essays and recommendation. Why did you not study for the Sat/Act? If you could bring it up to a 2000 SAT or 31-32. Your chances go up 2-fold.

I have actually decided to take the December ACT because I just found out that they will take those scores, and will definitely study for it!
I just took a practice test out of a study book and got a 32! so hopefully I can get that on the real test.
and thanks!
