Great essay (about coming to the U.S. several years ago and overcoming language barriers--could not speak english back then--and such)

I know my Stats are low, but what do you think..?

Ok 88, here's what I think. Your GPA is fine...keep taking the hardest possible courses and do well in them. Your EC's sound solid as well. Your CR score is low for Conn, but with having overcome the language barrier, I think they'll see that and be somewhat forgiving. (Plus they'll know about this from your essay!) BUT!! You don't need to submit SAT scores to Conn. College. I don't think yours will really be a problem, but look at their accepted student stats from last year (conncoll.edu) and decide if you want to or not. I would retake the SAT anyway, take the ACT as well. One thing I would definitely do is retake whatever SATII you got the 590 in. You need to submit 3 SATII scores, I believe. (At least you used to, regardless of whether or not you submit SATI scores). I think you have a very good chance, for a couple of reasons. One being that Conn doesn't have a lot of Asians. Not as many as some other LAC's, anyway. They truly care about diversity there, and seem to embrace the challenge of attracting a more diverse student body. Go visit and interview if it's not too late as well, you could have a compelling conversation about how far you've come with the language, etc. since coming to the U.S. Good luck!

Pretty sure it's two SAT IIs, but check.

It's two...

definitely retake the SAT II you got a 590 in like nikrud said. At the information session I went to they said they see a much bigger correlation between SAT II scores and performance at Conn Coll than with SAT I.

I think you can submit the ACT only (in place of both SAT 1 and SAT II)

ya, you can

I was reading that CC really focuses on a challenging set of courses, so it seems like you've got that.
