Chancesss?!?

Hi!
I am nervous about my applications to Rice and Vanderbilt...I've already gotten into Santa Clara, and Oregon, but Rice is my top choice... do I have any chance? I dont believe when my college counselor says I do.

SAT; 1860
Subjects: Physics: 520, Literature: 580 US History: 630
ACT: 26
GPA: Unweighted: 3.8, Weighted with (first semester senior year): 4.3ish??
Reccomendations: Really good!

EC's:
Varsity XC/ Track (Captain, State Qualifier)
National Charity League (Over 400 hours of Community service)
Girl Scouts (Gold, Silver and Bronze awards)
Volunteer at Local hospital
2 internships at physical therapy clinics (what I plan to study)
Summer employment at a toy store
Improv Club
Student Government
CSF/ NHS member

Essays: Really good (i think..)

I dont test well at ALL. I also switched schools between my sophomore and junior years and had a bit of a challenge transitioning... I got only a 3.7 (weighted) first semester junior year, but a 4.0 second. I went from being a straight a student (9th and 10th) to earning 3 B's and 1 C+!!

Do I have any shot? I am a dedicated student, but I dont know if my records reflect that? Help please!

I would say you have pretty low chances... your SAT and ACT scores are pretty low and if your grades dropped that much.... well it doesn't look good.. had you had bad grades freshman year and had the straight A's sophomore and junior you might have a better chance.
