I plan on making my work and passion for the Crisis in Darfur the main point of my essays/personal statements and how I have realized that I want to spend my life doing humanitarian work. I will also be writing about how I first got involved in it.. which is a long story that traces back to my first ever trip to Sudan... way before the disaster even began.

I guess I should tell you where I will be applying now.... I hope I am not aiming to high, I know others have higher stats than me but I really do think I will be a great member to the class of 2011 at whichever school accepts me because I really am passionate about what I do and I love getting others involved in it (i.e. the rally, reaching out to internation high schools). I will make sure to show that in my interview and personal statement. I also realize that its not all about the stats.... its about personality and dedication, two things I know I have.

Intended Major?

If you really are that passionate and commited, I think you have a good shot at all those schools. I've heard Brown in particular likes lopsided, but strong candidates. Unrelated to your chances, but you might want to look into the Peace Corps or International Red Cross for after college. I think both do work in the Sudan.

Wow i have to say, between those awesome scores, minority status, and AMAZING ec's for leadership, I can't see any school rejecting you ...

thank you chessgeeksam; I hope admissions officers will be as praising as you! RockyRoadAhead, I do plan on working in the Peace Corps after college for a bit. Also, I plan on majoring in political science & international relations.

The scores aren't amazing. But everything else seems to be in order.
