chancez moi svp

I applied regular decision as an aerospace eng major

out of state (FL) puerto rican

I took the ACTs and got a 24 since that day was a really bad day and i christmas tree'd a lotof it (gf + wrestling weight issues) also i DIDNT send those scores
howeverr i did send my SAT scores 690 M 550 CR 540 writing = 1780 :(

a little worse my CR is around 20%
w/ gpa uw 3.1, 4.0 w

and for some redeeming stuff
EC : 4 year varsity wrestling (3 year captain) 2 years varsity football 1 year of jv cross country. 2 years coaching wrestling at a middle school. iv worked as a lifeguard for a year. plus i have way over 150 hours community service. Also im the founder and president of the engineering club at my school.

Oh and i take the most rigorous courses available
im in IB so i basically every single class iv had is around AP level w/ 6 classes a year

So yea this is like the #1 school i want to get into, i didnt really no it before so i ended up applying like 2 days after priority

You’ll have a decent chance of getting into the school as a whole, but probably not for engineering.

Definitely not a sure thing though.

bummer :(. oh and i have an update that might help me somewhat lol
my weighted class rank is top 12.5%

The class rank should help you, but the SAT/ACT scores probably aren’t. Is there anyway that you could retake them (stand by for January maybe?)?
Unfortunately, your scores and GPA are going to hurt you, but hopefully the adcoms will get to your extracurrics and class rank, which will give you a chance.

ok i got my new scores back
same math & writing but my crit reading went up 70 points so i have
690 M, 620 CR, 540 W = 1850

your class load will definitely help; try and retake your ACT if you can.

you have a good…but not great…shot for aerospace. you’d probably get in for LAS though.
