so I don't know too much about NU admissions; hopefully someone can give me a little feedback?

I'll be applying RD for mathematics (2nd choice physics)

Rank: top 10.7% (53/493)
GPA: latest is 3.8 but I'm honestly not sure if that's weighted haha
SAT: 2070 (780 M, 610 CR, 680 W) though I'm taking it for the 2nd time tomorrow and hopefully that CR will bump up a bit

Junior Year: AP Calc BC (5 & AB subscore of 5), AP Art History (5)
Senior Year: AP Physics C, AP Stats, AP Psych

Freshman year I had to transfer at the semester due to personal/health reasons so I believe that's why my rank & GPA are a little shoddy. Then I moved across the country for sophomore year and since then I've had a clear upward trend in overall performance.

ECs:
- 3 yrs of debate & interp (public forum team co-captain with my partner for 2 yrs now)
- 2 yrs of GSA, Key Club, UIL academic math & science teams, lacrosse (outside of school)
- Freshman year: photography club (secretary), math club (historian), track
- I've been a member of PSi since I moved to TX and I usually attend weekly poetry slams downtown. I've entered a few times and advanced though those aren't really "official" awards. I also started a slam poetry club at my school so I'm president of that. Besides debate, sp is what I'm most passionate about in terms of extracurriculars and I talk about that in one of my essays so I hope it gives me a bit of an edge...
- 100+ volunteer hours at food bank & animal shelter
- worked as a part-time nanny (full-time during the summer) for a few different families
- math & science tutor since 8th grade
- summer internship at a blueberry farm in Maine; I assisted with marketing and helped them develop their new platform

National Merit Semifinalist

really stellar rec from English/Art History teacher

aaaaaand das it! so far I have one exceptionally strong essay and I'm working on the rest, though writing isn't my best area so we'll see how the others go

let me know what y'all think!

I think you have a good chance. You’ve got great scores, grades, and EC’s going for you. Best of luck!!
