<p>you should double check if Chicago lets you apply EA while you apply ED to Cornell; i know that Georgetown says you can't apply to them EA while ED to another school.</p>

<p>make sure you're not breaking any rules when you apply</p>

<p>especially for chicago, work on your ESSAYS! chicago esp focuses on essays.</p>

<p>UChicago and CALS seem very, very, very different, and I caution against applying ED unless you'd be willing to turn down Chicago EA. I think you have good chances for EA Chicago, good enough that I would feel confident about not applying anywhere else ED.</p>

<p>Also, you're not really being measured on quirkiness, or what we want you to be. Chicago kids come in all stripes, and many of them are (gasp!) kinda normal. Don't put down on paper what you think Chicago wants to read. Put down what you want to write, whatever you want to write. That's what the essays are for-- they're bizarre, yes, but they are a chance for you to take a completely foreign idea and make it into something familiar for you.</p>

<p>Your scores, your CTY-ness, your ethnicity, your work experience and the fact that you're from a competitive high school are all work majorly in your favor.</p>
