National Spanish Honor Society (President)

Senior Classes:

AP English
some AP art class, I forgot the name
AP Stats

I screwed around in middle school and took really easy class frshman year and since then I've worked every summer to get in the classes that I have now. Will they look at that as a factor in admission, and if so is it good or bad?

My other concern is there's the IB profram at my school, and I didn't enroll because of Middle School. However, I have tkaen the majority of AP's at my school and like I said, worked all my summers to get there by taking summer school classes etc. to get there.

Thanks for the feedback!

BE BRUTALLY HONEST!!!!!

I went to Cornell's summer session and my teachers were very fond of me and I maintained an A- average, if that means anything, I hear they look at that.

Looks really good to me. All of your leadership positions are impressive and you've obviously challenged yourself with your courses senior year. And an A- average at Cornell summer session is definitely going to look good. Did you get recommendations from any of your professors?

A few of the highlights from this post:

1) "Chanes"
2) "paticents"
3) "Treasuerer"
4) "slightlt"
5) "profram"

Lol, just kidding.

I think your CHANCES are pretty good.

Unless you forgot to proofread your essays....:P

yeah maybe i shouldve taken a typing class?....

seriously, thanks for your responses..anymore?

I'm not sure how good Cornell is compared to other schools but if it is as good as the others, I think your SAT might be a little low. I think 1450+ would be a good score. If your 4.2 weighted was out of 5 pts for AP/honors classes, I think that's a little low too. You probably have around a 3.6 or so unweighted?? You're senior year classes are rigourous (btw is there even a econ and government class? I thought it was just micro/macro econ or just govt/comp govt). Your clubs are pretty good especially the prez and vp ones. Treasurer eh, that's kind of iffy. It doesn't say much of leadership. I remember in one of my clubs, we elected some first year treasurer just because he was one of the few who nominated themselves. Overall for an RD decision, I think your app is a little weaker than some of the other people who might apply, but of course colleges never have any minimum reqs or such so you can still get in.

Your SATs and grades are a bit low, but nothing too bad. I think you're fine in the extracuricular/leadership/service categories. I'd say you have a pretty good shot.

Still, it's always difficult to judge from just "statistics," because we can't really understand YOU, like who you are, what your interests are, and what separates you from every other applicant.

But I like your attitude, and your work ethic...I mean "BE BRUTALLY HONEST!!!!!"...it doesn't get any better than that! Hopefully admissions will feel the same way. Your spelling is pitiful though...
