<p>I have applied to one college through the common app... Can I change the essay for other colleges? It doesn't seem possible but I think it was possible in the past?</p>

<p>You can change the essay for other colleges, but it’s “frowned upon” by the Common Application. All you need to do is replicate your application and upload a new essay! :)</p>
