how do I do it? Do i contact my admin officer? I know they are busy at this time. Also, is there a penalty?

What does “change from EA to RD” mean? If you’ve already applied, you’ve applied. You’ll automatically be pushed back to RD if your app isn’t good enough anyway.

I have already submitted CA [for EA] and payed the app fee but did not the supplement. The reason is I don’t believe my essays are up to par as they are right now and I want the time to polish it.

If your app isnt good enough u can also get denied…

you know the deadline was extended to the 7th due to blackouts, right?

already talked to UChicago on the forums. its only for ppl on east coast

Poseidon, please e-mail collegeadmissions@uchicago.edu with your full name, common app ID, and indicate your desire to switch from EA to RD. One of our admissions counselors will take care of the switch in your account for you.

If you get deferred for EA are you automatically reconsidered for RD or do you have to resubmit and pay the fee again?

@crawlings: No, once you’ve applied, you’ve applied.

crawlings, you do not have to re-submit your application if you are deferred from EA to RD.

ok thanks!
