So I am currently a sophomore. I've posted like 3 topics on a similar topic but I just found out our school is changing the grade scale and gpa but not our past grades. So now I'm stuck with last years 2.67 (85) which would of been a 3.0 next year. How will colleges look at this?

That's a pretty tough scale. All I can say is that since you're a sophomore, you have plenty of time to raise it to a respectable average. Good luck.

How exactly does it work?

For your GPA, pretty much all colleges use the "A is a 4, B is a 3" and so on scale, but if somehow your school does something weird, colleges won't penalize you for it.

its weird like 92 B+ 84 C+. They claim most classes just give letter grades but that's not true at all. It's going to be so weird because next year everyones grades if they work the same are going to be up.

92 = B+ , that is absurd. In my school that is an A-.

also how do colleges convert letter grades like that? when they see it there isn't an exact number grade but our scale is on it how do they convert it to their way?

I heard that a lot of colleges look at your grades and calculate their own GPA... don't worry, they'll know exactly how your GPA is calculated, and they'll definitely take it into consideration, because your scale is CRAZY. Definitely very tough.
