Change in senior year schedule?

My school is run on the quarter system (taking one set of classes for the first quarter and new classes for the second quarter). I am not sure at the moment if I want to take Spanish 3 next semester or French 1. If I submitted my application to USC and it said I was going to take Spanish 3 next semester, and then I ended up taking French 1 (or vice versa), would they rescind my admission because my schedule changed? Would it have any effect? Thanks for any info. :)

Since you already submitted your application, call admissions and ask them. It will most likely be no problem. S wanted to drop Spanish 4 second semester and when he called to ask if it would affect his admission, they said it would have no effect. But they said it was good he called so it would be in his record.

Thanks for the advice! Actually, I haven’t submitted my application yet. I’m just not sure what decision I’m going to make, and I might submit it with Spanish 3…I don’t know.

Also, would USC look unfavorably upon me taking two years of Spanish and one year of French rather than three years of Spanish?

It depends on your major but, in general, it would not make a difference. Admissions will give you advice on that based on your specifics. Call them then let us know.

Okay, thanks! My intended major is Screenwriting, so I doubt it’d make a difference, but I’ll call anyway. :)
