change in status

I am hoping it is not generic as well.. It does sound like you would be in... !! I am hoping you are, as well as my son :)

Albany is my top choice. I regret not applying EA.

Good Luck guys. Hopefully see you guys next Fall.

I just checked and my status finally got changed:):)

I've been thinking about it more and more about Albany. Even though it's my safety, I think I'd love it there.

and lol at muffy. EVERY school needs their share of phishfans.(I got into UVM already haha. god knows they have their share)

Hope you all get good news about your "next steps" in the mail soon!

I have the same message as well. I have a 90 Average. On my SAT's I got:

600-Math
560-CR
560-Writting

Both of my parents are alumni and so is my uncle.

unfortunately we all have to wait until after January 1 to find out... I thought it would be sooner but the admissions office said January 1st is the soonest for EA... or I guess the 2nd as the 1st is a holiday??

last year they were mailed around the 15th of Dec; you can find the SUNY Albany class of 2012 facebook page which begins on the 17th. Maybe they just tell you not till Jan?

A girl that I sit next to in Spanish got her EA acceptance about one week ago. Unless she is confused, than there is no reason for this girl to lie. She is not like that.

Thats odd... when I called Albany the woman who answered the phone said that all Early Action decisions would be mailed after January 1... Early Decisions earlier.. Do you know if your friend had checked online for her application status and whether or not it said

"a decision has been made and will be mailed to you. Please review the material carefully for the next steps"

Albany doesn't do ED, just EA. Some kids do find out earlier than most, maybe because they were highly desirable and they were being recruited for some reason.

What if you applied Regular Decision. This is killing me. I keep on thinking I'm not getting in, and want to know already!

when do you send in your application? Admissions is rolling so depending on when you sent in your app, you can hear as soon as early January!!

I applied in early November. My guidance counselor mailed out my transcripts, etc 2 weeks ago. So they should have everything by now.

Early January would be great. =]

Did you get the letter from Albany that says they received your application? If not you will soon and with that will be an Albany ID number. You can then find out your application status by typing in the following url:

University at Albany - Check My Application Status

and following the directions...
good luck!!!

Oh I got that a while ago. I'm at my dads house so I will have to check later. Thanks.

To bad none of the SUNY's tell you online.

Im guessing Albany is your son's top choice?

My G/C sent out my stuff 2 fridays ago. The website still says they didn't receive it while all my smaller SUNY's have it already. Binghamton and Albany both state that I don't have it. How long did it take for you guys?

Did everyone who has this status message get their letter? Were you accepted? My son has this status but is still waiting.

My D got letter that she was in Dec 24, applied maybe October. Another kid in her school with better SAT/GPA applied at the same time and hasn't heard yet though. Maybe the office wasn't open to send out mail the last 4 days. I hope your son gets in!

Maybe alphabetical order. We're towards the end. My son's app was complete by mid-November. I'm actually more anxious than him. It's my alma mater, but he has other ideas!

My S applied late October, status changed roughly 12/10 and he recieved his letter December 23rd.
