Once I've submitted the common app for my early school, including the essay and such, is it possible to change some of the information (including the essay) for future schools?

Nope. The application gets locked after you send it to one school.

^Wrong, here’s how you make alternate versions of the CA:

https://www.commonapp.org/commonapp/docs/alternateversiontechnologyfaq.pdf

While you can’t change any submitted applications, you can edit and submit to other schools.

Very useful information, thanks!

I also find this to be very useful information, as there are a few things that I would like to update on my application. However, I have been trying to figure out how to create the alternate versions and cannot find the “replicate application” screen/button that is being described. I am probably just missing something obvious here, but can someone please tell me where exactly I should see it?

Thank you

I got this from the CA subforum, see if it works for you:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/common-application/1272232-i-cant-seem-replicate-my-commonapp.html?highlight=replicate

This is very helpful and I was able to get it to work, thank you @entomom!

Just a warning that the link posted above in the third comment is not correct.

^Thanks gibbons, can you post a better link?
