Change letter grade to Pass/No Pass?

Hi I'm a freshman trying to get into Haas. I'm taking ESPM 2 and got a 70% on the midterm. It's 30% of the total grade with the final being 40% and assignments/quizzes being the other 30%. I've gotten 100s on all the quizzes and assignments.

I COULD still get an A in the class if I ace the final and do some EC, but would it be better to just change the class to pass/no pass for my gpa's sake in case I don't get an A. What I've heard is while Pass/No Pass doesn't affect the gpa, it is often viewed as a C on transcripts by graduate schools. If that's the case, I'd rather not change to P/NP. I told myself I wasn't going to take any classes P/NP, but I may be going against my word soon..

I heard it is viewed as a C- by manny grad schools

That's not good :(. It's probably like 80% I'll end up with a B, 20% A. I REALLY don't want a B in this class to me P looks better but if grad schools view it as a C- I guess a B is better.

Stick with the B, TRUST me you want to use p/np for an emergency only (upper div. courses...)

I don't think grad school counts it as a C-. They probably don't factor it into your gpa, unless you get a NP.

I think people are just paranoid that p/np = C

Yea I guess it's not really an emergency since I'm not failing. Time to be super clutch and ace my final to shreds.
