Change Major from Computer Science to Physics/Astrophysics?

I am currently a sophomore majoring in CS, but have recently begun to think about changing my major to Physics/Astrophysics. The only real thing stopping me is how employable it may be. What sorts of careers can I get with a physics degree? Is it a safe area to major in for the future? Will it be almost necesarry for me to go for a masters? Any and all information about a change would really help. Thanks.

Physics jobs are not that common compared to physics graduates. Lots of physics graduates do find their way into computer software, some engineering, or finance jobs. If your dream is doing physics research, you can still consider majoring in physics up to a PhD, but continue taking CS courses to prepare for a backup career if a physics career does not pan out (that is, if you like CS enough to be willing to work in writing computer software – if not, consider electives to prepare for other backup careers).
