I got a 5 on the BC Calculus exam so I can Ap out of math 1A for sure. And I think there's like no sure way to prepare adequately for Hald's exams so studying hard for the final won't neccessarily mean I will get an A on it. So should I change it to P/NP or study hard for teh final and take it for a letter grade (and get an A/A-)?

No, do NOT change it to P/NP. You got an A on the first midterm, slightly above average on the second midterm, and aced the quizzes/homeworks. There is absolutely NO reason to make it P/NP.

The class is also curved at the very end, so study hard for the final.

STAY. What are you worrying for? I’d be happy to have those marks.

wait so traditionally hald recurves the entire class at the end? because the midterm grades are already curved and apparently he gives out 10% A’s

I heard that the final is as hard as (or harder than) the second mt (both of which are harder than mt1) is there a realistic chance that I would get an A?
