Posting for my son. He was supposed to be in adv. woodwind this semester, but was not accepted and placed in concert band instead. Is it a big deal that he has to notify the school of the change or should he not worry about it? It’s not like not taking an ap class, plus he’s not applying to any of the schools as a music major.

You have to email or call the school immediately because they are getting almost ready with decisions.

I wouldnt even bother since its basically same subject.. they want to you to inform them in cases such as dropping an academic classes such as math science ect. especially if its a dropped ap class.
You might want to call just in cases

Just email them after you receive admissions, and before your SIR. They will not care about this minor change.

I made a small mistake on my application as well, and no one really cared. I just sent them an email before I accepted admission, and everything worked out.
