Change of Visa Status

<p>Have any of you changed your visa status while in the States?
I'm currently in the US on a F-2 visa and want to switch to a F-1 visa for fall semester. I don't really have time to go back to my country this summer, so that's why I'm switching visas in the US. I received my I-20 from the school and filled out the I-539 application. </p>

<p>If any of you have experience with this, can you tell me about how long it takes. And what else did you submit? </p>

<p>I talked to my school about this by they have been very slow and not exactly very helpful. I want to get this done as soon as possible.</p>

<p>most of the people here are first time students, so no1 will have any significant answers to your problem. the best thing is to ask a visa expert or a counseller. they know all these tech. problems.</p>
