<p>Dear CCers,</p>
<p>I haven't really made up my mind on whether to major in something technical, like EECS or something more towards the arts side, like econ. I guess I will have to try them out during my freshman year to see which suits my interest better.</p>
<p>The problem now is that the colleges will ask about my intented major and thus which "school" I will go to. Say I applied to columbia's eng. school, but later decided to change to major in econ in columbia college. Or say when I applied to cornell's art & science college and decided later to change to major in eng. Will this be a problem?</p>
<p>In short, must I stay in the same school of the college for my entire undergrad duration? How about say double major?</p>
<p>Also, what should I do if I would like to get a double major in these two subjects? Obviously they are usually not offered in the same school.</p>
<p>Any input will be very useful. Thanks a lot in advance.</p>
