changed schools// gpa question

so i went to one school for 9th and 10th grade and my gpa's were okay.. 3.71/4.0 and 3.6/4.0

but i moved to another school in 11th grade and by the end of the year, i found my gpa was 3.82 [the highest it's ever been]

howeverrrrr we got our cumulative gpas back and it turned out i had an avg of 3.65 [some of the classes i took at my old school were not counted and my new school used a different method of averaging grades]

anyway... the question is 'how will colleges view my 'low' cumulative gpa? will they notice that i improved throughout the years or will they still consider my gpa as low?' and how will my sat score [2300] compare?

perhaps talk to your counselor and have him/her explain the GPA situation...if indeed there is a good explanation

otherwise a 3.65 UW GPA and a 2300 look inconsistent and bad...
