Changes at Purdue-West Lafayette

Hey everyone,
I am a Senior in competitive top-ranked high school. 16 years old, us permanent resident, came from india in 1999, my overall gpa is 3.548 (w), 3.452 (uw), 3.5 (CP). Around 150 hours of volunteering ~mainly at my uncle's company over summers. My SAT scores are 690 math, 530 verbal, 460 writing :(, I know thats bad. I will be taking it again next week and I am aiming for over 500 in writing and more in verbal. I want to undergrad major in cpu engineering and when i looked at different colleges I was suprised to see purdue at number 11. Right now, it is my top choice so if anyone can tell me If i will be accepted/rejected, it would be helpful.
Thanks :)

*oh btw, CA resident

This school is rolling admission and so you are getting to the game a little bit late. Don't wait too much longer. I think that you will be okay. CA & international helps you.

Total enrollment by ethnic diversity
African-American 3%
Asian-American 5%
Hispanic 2%
Native American 0%
White 82%
International 7% Out-of-state freshmen: 28%

First-year students submitting SAT scores: 85%
SAT I scores (25/75 percentile):
Verbal: 500 – 610
Math: 530 – 650
Combined: 1030 – 1260

Will it make it a greater chance because im indian?
And when you say im a bit late...Oops for me? I was waiting to take november and december test, or can i apply now and take tests later and send scores?
I already know the SAT Scores ... I just wanted to make sure It's a good school for me and wether I can get in or not.

Purdue likes foreign students and they like any student who pays OOS tuition which you will be doing. As to the application.......the folder is not complete until the scores are also in the adcom folder. You could send your app but they wouldn't act until all materials were in. You say you know the SAT scores, why are you testing again? Are you just worried about the writing? Have you or will you be taking TOEFL?

I'd get the application done......it is an easy one w/o essays. Unless you are trying to save the expense of application I wouldn't worry whether you want to go there just yet. I mean you could apply and be accepted to many schools. Good Luck.

No, I want to get better SAT Scores

Then do so.......are you also taking the ACT which many students find they do better on? It is more of an achievement exam and Purdue does accept it. You might do both......I'd recommend you register quickly for it is Nov 4 to register I do believe.
