There has been a change to my academic course work planned/in progress for Spring
2009. On top of the classes I indicated on my Application Update for Transfer
Applicants, I signed up for one-Saturday class in Microsoft Office-Upgrading From 2003
to Now (0.50 units, credit only, not UC-transferable) and The Principles and Qualities of
Genuine Leadership seminar (1.50 units, credit only, not UC-transferable). These two additional courses do not change anything, but only make me a full-time student.
Question: When should I let the UCs know of these insignificant changes? Two of the universities I applied to have already accepted me. I need your help.

I am in a similar situation and decided that instead of updating my app for a third time, as it will look suspicious, I'm not to not notify them of the update until april 30, after i hear back from berkeley. Some may say not to do this, but I think berkeley might be like *** is your problem changing your schedule so much and the classes i changed were completely irrelevant to ges/prereqs.

*** = wteff

Go to: https://admissions.ucop.edu/wip/login.do
update your coursework and uc campuses will know the change of your schedule!

Thank you, then I will wait until April 30 after I hear back from UCLA and Berkeley. I will send the letters about my changes only to the universities I got accepted to. I will use the link, too, just in case. Plus, it will only confuse them with additional paperwork and they have a lot of issues on their hands now anyways.

Russiangirl: send changes to UCLA and Cal asap. If you don't, it might be a possibility that they could rescind your admissions.

UCLA is by E-mail
Cal is by Fax/Snail Mail

The UCLA Admissions rep. visited my school told me that it is the most important thing to notify them of ANY changes immediately. It will give them grounds to rescind your admissions if you try notifying them of changes after. I even asked if it was necessary in my situation. I changed from a 3 unit PE course to two 1 unit PE courses for graduation reasons. She told me it doesn't matter and to report it ASAP.

nijikon, do you have the email of the UCLA + CAL admissions rep? i reported something wrong on my app (accidentally said i got a 3 on an AP exam when I got a 2 on it) despite reporting that i will be getting credit for the exams i got 3+ scores on the APP update.

chibi: I don't have the UCLA rep's e-mail. I'll look for her e-mail this upcoming week from a friend who has it.

You can report anything with your application to: datachng@saonet.ucla.edu for UCLA. I wish Cal had an automated system too. I had to the change of my PE classes to Cal via Snail Mail along with a mistake on my supplemental form ( I put the wrong semester for one of my pre-req classes -.- ).

I wouldn't worry too much about this issue chibi, AP scores really don't have an impact on your admissions. I understand your concern though over that whole academic integrity issue they have and potentially rescinding admissions.

You're more of a UCLA lean right chibi? Here's some info you might find interesting:

Sending Transcripts

UCLA needs official transcripts from all institutions you have attended. (Unless specifically requested in your Provisional Admission Contract, we do not require a high school transcript.)

^^^^
Taken from the UCLA undergrad. admissions site. I don't think AP schools carry over to CC transcripts, not sure though.

I remember reading on Cal's undergrad. admissions site that they do require HS transcripts. Go Figure right?

Thanks man. Hmm, let me elaborate on what occurred.

I got accepted into UCI. Under the provisional agreement, they asked for three AP exams (out of the 4 I took). Those three were AP Econ, AP Gov, and AP US History. Out of those three, I only passed AP Gov and AP US History (i got a 2 on the AP Econ exam). However, on the main application back in November, I accidentally put a 3 for AP Econ. So from what it appears, they think I'm getting credit for AP Econ.

What's odd is that on the UC App Update in January, I noted that I will only be receiving credit from 2 AP exams (AP Gov and US History). But I guess they didn't see that. I'm freaking out because I am afraid they might accuse me of lying when in actuality - it was really a small mistake that I just caught - and rescind my acceptance at any UC.

And yeah, I am a UCLA lean which is why I am trying to play it safe by reporting it now as opposed to a instance in which they do accept me.

So is the "datachng@saonet.ucla.edu" the account I send it to?

^^^^

That's the e-mail to send changes on your application too. I think you should be fine because you updated the change in the Jan. update. Have you called UCLA admissions on this issue? I have a feeling they will just tell you to update it via the UCLA update e-mail.
