Is everyone aware that ACT has changed its rules regarding 50% extended time? Previously, students could allocate the extended time in any manner that best suited their specific learning disability. Now, without warning, the rule has been changed to mandate allocating 5 hours on multiple choice and one hour to the essay. The letter that was sent out about this is misleading and MOST people do NOT know about this. ACT is a VERY LONG TEST. This will seriously impact LD students who have been practicing all summer on their pacing and timing. The rule goes into effect immediately, not giving students the time to appeal their accommodations or switch to the SAT.
