I changed the colleges I added to my fafsa application and saved them. When I went back the changes weren’t there. Can you change it more than once?
Are you sure you submitted them?
@kelsmom shouldn’t this student see all his FAFSA submissions?
Does he have to wait for it to process to see the one with the changes he made?
You have to not only save them, but you also have to submit the changes. This involves signing with your FAFSA ID. If you did not go this, you did not actually make any changes. If you did do that, then you are seeing the first FAFSA. Once the updates process, you’ll see that transaction, as well.
I know I touched the save button and when I go on my Fafsa account it says view changes you made. But there aren’t any changes there. Can you “change” it more than once?
Are the new schools listed on the FAFSA information you can see? When did you make the changes? Did you receive an email confirming that you made changes?
No the new schools aren’t listed. I made these changes and right after I went on my Fafsa account where it said click her to see changes made but there weren’t any changes. I never got a confirmation email. Thanks for helping me by the way.
Make your changes again and the SUBMIT them to the schools. Wait until that submission processes and you should be able to see them.
IIRC, if you don’t submit the changes to schools it’s sort of like you didn’t make the changes at all. I believe submitting those changes is required. So just do it again but SUBMIT the changes to the schools. @kelsmom
Yes, it’s really important that you submit. I know from experience that students often think that saving changes means the changes were made. But you have to go the extra step and submit the changes to the processor.
