I heard from a counselor that sometime in the spring you update not your TAG, but your UC application any changes to the coursework you put in your TAG. I don't know about the spring quarter, but for this upcoming winter quarter (my CC lets you view the classes ahead of time before you register) one of the courses I planned to take is going to conflict with my scheduling, and therefore I'm gonna have to take something else. I'm currently in the process of filling out my UC reg. admission application, and I'm wondering...do I report my courses on the UC application EXACTLY as how it looked on my TAG or make the changes now?

Input the courses you will take in the Spring on your UC app. Write a note in the additional comments that there have been changes to your TAG planned courses. So, report the changes now.

Wait, you have to let them know that you changed a class? I just put the new class an didn’t mention it at all.

Did you TAG with a UC? Because TAG is basically a contract, and if you violate the contract, idk it might jeopardize it…and I definitely don’t want anything to put my TAG or admission on the line. I think I’m going to do what larinaga said; better safe than sorry.

That’s what UCSB counselors have told me. I changed my schedule up a bit, too, and I just said, “Concerning my TAG, there have been changes to my Spring 2013 schedule.” They can figure out the changes by looking at the TAG, UC app, and comparing the two.

And yes, I did TAG to a UC. As long as the changes don’t drop you below 60 units, isn’t a requirement to complete the 7-course breadth, or isn’t a major pre-req required for admission; then there’s no problem.

it’s actually a GE class; those are probably the only classes that have leeway…I can always take another class that would fulfill the requirement in its place…I was just worried about how I should go about reporting it to UC.
