Changing Colleges

<p>I've been recently admitted to Berkeley and was wondering how to change colleges within the university. I messed up my UC app and flipped my majors for UCLA and Berkeley, so instead if chemistry, I would be studying neurobiology at Berkeley. I was wondering how I could change from the general college to the college of chemistry. Would I have to wait a semester/year? Would I be able to do that at all?</p>

<p>Note that you can major in chemistry in the College of Letters and Science as well as in the College of Chemistry.</p>

<p>The major and breadth requirements are slightly different, but you need to take the same chemistry (4A, 4B, 112A, 112B), math (1A, 1B, 53, 54), and physics (7A, 7B) courses during your frosh and soph years (check the department on the usability of AP credit for Math 1A, 1B, and Physics 7A).</p>

<p>If you want to major in chemical engineering, you need to change to the College of Chemistry.</p>
