<p>I sent my Common App to Stanford, Duke, Yale, and Swarthmore yesterday. I used an alternate version of CA, so I continued working on Harvard and Amherst on another version (where I used the CA essay for Stanford, etc. as supplements.) As I was working on Harvard and Amherst, I made a few minor changes to my essay, and I think they make the essay better. But I've already submitted to Stanford, Duke, etc! I know the only way I can possibly change it is by contacting the schools and asking. But does it look bad to do that? Considering deadlines are in 12 hours. Do colleges go "oh my god this kid who changed his essay near the deadline."</p>
<p>The new additions improve my essay, but my old essay was good too. I just don't want to go through the next few months feeling a little insecure, like I didn't do the VERY BEST I can do on my college applications =[ ....</p>
