My son officially declined his Berkeley spot and accepted a spot UCLA in a hasty decision right after his decisions came out. He is a business Econ major and wants to go into finance and everyone is telling him he has made a huge mistake choosing UCLA for business Econ. Is it possible to get back into Berkeley after turning down the spot since it’s still before the April 1 deadline?
May 1 is the SIR deadline and yes he can change his mind. Withdraw from UCLA and lose your deposit and then accept UCB and pay the deposit. He should contact UCB immediately and explain he has had a change of heart but do not withdraw from UCLA until the UCB admission is confirmed.
