changing essay prompts for Common app

Hey everyone,

I have two essays for the Common app, lets call them essay A and essay B. I want to use essay A as my first common app essay because essay B works well as a supplement for the schools I'm applying to as EA. However, I feel essay B is an overall stronger essay and I want to submit that to the rest of my schools as the common app essay. I know you can submit 3 versions of a common app essay, but I was unsure if I could actually change prompts. Essay A is the place essay, whereas essay B is the essay about challenging a belief or idea. Can I have two completely different essays for the common app?

Anybody know…?

For anyone else who might be wondering,

I have found that you CAN change prompts for common app

@ifban99 - I am wondering the same too. How did you find that out you can change the prompt after the early application time?

This is a rather late response, but I had my friend who had already submitted common app check if he could change his essay prompt and he could.

Hi were you able to successfully change your essay and essay prompt? Also, is there a waiting time before editing your essay again?

Thank you
