Before the semester ended I had decided then to go try out Psychology with a Concentration in Mental Health this coming semester. I’m a freshman and this is my second semester.
Next week the semester starts, I been putting in the thought and decided to fully change my major to something in Business ( not sure what concentration I could go into) as I am looking for only doing my major in B.A. ( Business is offered in B.A./ B.S.)
I saw my University offers Hospitality, Tourism and Event management in only B.S. so that I believe is a downfall for me. One of my parents has even kind of discouraged me from doing the Hospitality field because one of our cousins I was told did a Disney program in that major ( at same University) and now is only working in a restaurant. ( Aren’t their other places to be employed with Hospitality?)
My father even has suggested if I go into Business I could start a daycare center as an Entrepenunar and make money from it,( which I do not even want to deal with children and parents for the rest of my life and not looking forward to).
Also, my University has somewhat limited B.A. majors to choose from then B.S. which I should have known when I looking for potential colleges with more offered B.A. majors and others to choose from.
If I go into Business, I am willing to do math classes so I can bring my hate for math up because I saw potential jobs that could be in this major. I am not sure if I have feeling of being an Entrepreneur cause I do not even know how to go on about that.
I want some advice on Business major fields/ concentrations and opportunities.
The semester starts next Tuesday so I’m about to contact my advisor/ preceptor to change majors.
