changing from Col. Nat. Res. to L&S?

my d is applying and isn't sure which school to apply for---her interests are about evenly split between "art/humanities" and environmental or marine science/policy/law...so she does find some of the majors in CNR very interesting.
If she was accepted to CNR and wanted to switch later to L&S how hard is it to do that? there is a new major in CNR called Social Ecology, which is of interest to her.
She has a 29 ACT and about 4.1 weighted UCGPA, 3.8 unweighted, most demanding curriculum, 700 and 650 SATIIs

can anyone help, please?

it's not hard to switch from CNR to LandS, my roomate's thinking about doing it. It may be harder to go the other way around; But yah, pretty easy to move from the other colleges to LandS, you may have to do one semester in CNR before though.
hope this helps!

thanks for the help; so she'll probably apply to CNR/undecided and (assuming she gets in) see how she likes it. Does your room mate not like CNR for some reason?
She was there at debate camp last summer and loved it.

i know someone who worked at the debate camp @ cal.

um....i think my roomate just wants to take less science classes. The problem with alot of the other colleges is that you're tied to a major. Alot of people (especially freshman year like me) get to college and realize (like i did) that you have NO idea what your doing, and where you're going.
But if she can make it into CNR, apply there, i dunno what the stats are for that specific college. She can always just transfer to LandS.
The important thing is to not.....choose your life out to early. I realize now how right my parents were, time goes by alot quicker after high school, and you realize how you don't know nearly enough of what you think you know.

good luck! and Go Bears!

yeah, sounds like a great place. You seem to have a good perspective on school and life. thx again!

I don't think transferring from L&S to CNR is difficult. I talked to the CNR advisors and got the impression that it is nothing more than just filling out forms.
