Changing from Dentistry to Engineering

Thanks for respone,im actually in a south african dental school,and im really not shure as to whether i should complete my dental degree,il be left with two more years after completion of this year,if i change to engineering il hae to start from first year ,i cannot decide as to which choice would be the better one,if i complete my dental degree and then go on to engineering,thus seems lenghty.

You will have to check with each school you are considering, but it would be very difficult and lengthy to switch to engineering. Many of your courses would not transfer. The engineering program is one that builds each year upon the previous years’ foundation, so you would most likely need another 4 full years.

so,i think the wise decision would be to complete my dental degree,then follow up pursuing engineering?then atleast il have a dental degree to stand with.
