<p>The CollegeBoard website says that the fee for changing to/from the SAT I from/to the SAT subject tests is $24. I am unsure if I want to take the SAT I or subject tests in May. Can I just register for one subject test ($21), and pay the $24 change fee if I change to the SAT I? This would only be $45 ($21+$24)...That is $2 less than the fee to take the SAT I if you sign up for the SAT I originally. Could this possibly be true? Or is it $47+$24?</p>
<p>I’m not positive, but I think that for SAT subject tests, you pay $21 to register, plus $10 for each test. So one SAT subject test costs $31. You could then pay the $24 change fee if you want to switch to the regular SAT. It would cost you a little more than waiting until you are sure you want to take the regular SAT ($55 vs. $47), but if you aren’t sure yet than you could do it.</p>
