<p>That’s great news!</p>
<p>I don’t think teachers at our school change grades for high AP scores, but they CAN change grades if a student had extenuating circumstances and makes up work. My rising sophomore’s science teacher is going to let him retake a science test and will raise his grade if he does well (he was very sick for several weeks in the spring).</p>
<p>“My friend would like this policy. He or she had a a C+ in the class and got a five on the BC exam. However, that class has an average score of almost 5, with only 3 to 5 students out of 60 getting 4 or lower.”</p>
<p>Sounds like my school. We only had about 50 in BC at our school each year though. In our class, it really was expected that if you could pass the class (like C- or higher), you would have gotten at least a 4. If you weren’t capable of that, you simply would not have passed.</p>
