Changing grading basis

I know you do it on URSA but I couldn't find where at URSA to do it. I want to change the grading for my math class to P/NP since I don't think I'm going to do well in the class at all (especially judging on my score for the midterm) and I'm not going to major in economics anymore (which was why I'm taking the class). Would it be a bad thing if I do change the grading basis or would you recommend toughing it out?

you don't get any points in life for "toughing things out" when there's no reason to do so. If you don't want to be an econ major because you're interests have changed for reasons unrelated to this class, then you should go P/NP. I'd look at some other majors first to make sure they don't require you to take a calculus class for a grade; maybe talk to a counselor about this.

However IF the reason you don't want econ is because of this class, I'd say its time for some reassessment. The main reason they make you take this class instead of the 3-series calculus is to cut down on the number of students who make it thru and apply to the major. You CAN do better in the class, if it was important enough for you to do so. It might not be fun or easy, but it is possible.
