So I’ve been doing a program since 9th grade that started shortening its hours this year… it used to be a solid 3 hours, now it’s 2.5. I’ve seen so many people warning against exaggerating that it’s freaking me out, but is it really so wrong for me to put 3 in this case? We’ve literally only had two meetings so far so technically it’s more misleading to put 2.5 than 3… help?!
I’d put 3. When people say “don’t exaggerate,” they mean not to put something like 10 or 20 hours per week for a 3 hour activity.
@golfcashoahu okay thanks!! now what if you participated in something that was supposed to be 7 weeks long, but you missed a whole week… can you still put 7 wks/yr?
sorry to jump on this question: but how do you enter hours that vary? For example a sport that during non game weeks can be around 10 hours, but then when there is games can be close to 15? The area to ener will just accept up to 5 numbers so my kid can not but 10-15. Thanks for any suggestions
@barryfan is this on the commonapp?? if so, I think you need to just guesstimate. use the total number of hours a year to do this
yup- on the common app under activities it asks number of hours per week and then number of week per year so it is not possible to put the time as per year- it must be per week. Oh well…
@barryfan no, I mean use the hours per year to find an average hours/week and week/year
