S got accepted into Emory with an intended major in Sociology (Descision letter says Liberal arts and sciences- Undeclared) but he wants to do business. How hard will it be for him to change his major to business and get into Goizueta Business School.
??
@TRUUUUKING The admissions people and nor did Emory care about his major unless you are implying the he used sociology to get in…trust me it didn’t matter (many pre-meds, pre-laws, and whoever else do soc). You don’t have to officially declare until sophomore year, so they don’t regulate you from freshman year. You kind of just do what you want. He will simply have to fullfill b-school pre-reqs which include some of the ECAS GERs. Also, no one starts directly in the business school, so the only two designations one can have are Oxford College or ECAS.
@bernie12 thank you for a quick reply!!
S put sociology as first choice and business as second choice. Also he has a LOR from his business studies teacher.
Any comments on that ?
Again, doesn’t matter…he’s in, they do not care.
Goizueta starts from 3rd year anyways so as long as he has the prerequisite courses completed during 1st-2nd year and have solid grades he’ll be able to go into Goizueta
@sanghyunp2004 thank you for your opinion
People any comments will be greatly appreciated
There isn’t anything else to say.
As it’s been said before, it doesn’t matter.
