Changing major after transferring to UCF?

Not sure if I’m posting this in the right place but here’s my problem.
I’ve been planning to transfer to UCF next fall with an AA. I was going to apply either as an English Language Arts Education major or Elementary Education.

I’ve recently come to the realization that neither of these will make me happy in the long run as my true passion is mathematics. I’d like to transfer as a Mathematics Education major but I would need to take precalc&trig and calc 1-3 still. I never started taking these because I thought I wouldn’t be able to complete them all in time since they are prereqs of each other.

I’ll have enough credits to transfer for English or Elementary after next semester so my question is, if I take precalc&trig next semester, calc 1 summer semester and calc 2 fall semester (delaying my transfer until Spring 2018) will I be able to transfer as an English Or Elementary Education major for 1 semester, take some education classes and calc 3 that first semester at UCF and then switch my major to Mathematics Education for that next fall??

Or if I have everything except calc 3 will they allow me to transfer anyway for Mathematics education??

Sorry if any of this is confusing.

Contact the school and ask.

Wouldn’t the AA simply satisfy gen-ed requirements, and then you’d pick up with Calc 1 (MAC2311) once you start at UCF? I would try to get pre-calc/trig done as part of the AA (but double-check me on this).
