Changing major Biz to Eng, after being accepted, but not committed yet

I am still deciding between ColoState, U AZ , U WI and Purdue (in order of preference), and I haven’t committed yet but have an extra week for that. I have been directly admitted to all of them into the Business Major that I have applied to , and all of them offered merit aid not tied to the major selection; but after a change of heart I would like to switch my major to Biomedical Engineering and maybe minoring in Business. The question is: where do I start? Do I change the major online? Does it take long to get accepted? Will I need to go undecided? Any advice will be very much appreciated.

You need to contact each school to find out their change of major policy as a new student. Since Engineering is highly competitive at the schools, most likely you would have to enroll as a student, take some pre-req courses before actually declaring a new major. Check the school’s website to see if the change of major policies are listed. Changing between Business and Engineering could be problematic and you may not be able to do the change at all for some of the schools. Definitely find out now before committing.
