Hey guys,
So I'm currently a third year transfer who just got into Ucla. My major is Math/Econ but I want to change my major to Econ and minor in something else. I understand that the major could be impacted but is there any other way of me getting into the Econ major? I have heard that the counselor to talk to is Julie (older white lady), as for the other one is not so nice or helpful. Any suggestions? Response is appreciated

I think it’s too late for you, since most people change majors before their junior year.
The thing is, when you got accepted into UCLA, you got accepted into the Math/Econ major, not Econ. Maybe if you had applied to Econ you would have gotten rejected, so that’s why they probably wouldn’t let you change.

Since the majors are very similar though in your case, I say there’s still a chance. Just make sure to do it ASAP. Here is a link to a FAQ stating the requirements for the econ major: [UCLA Department of Economics](http://www.econ.ucla.edu/undergraduate/faq.html)
