It’s been about a month since I sent in my SDSU application and I put nursing as my major and business administration as my alternate major. I love both majors but I have been thinking about it a lot and i would rather do business administration over nursing. What should I do ? I know nursing is more competive than business adminstration as a major but I know I can get into the nursing major. I want to get accepted into the business major . I want to know what to do since my application is already in & I don’t want to deal with switching majors once college starts next year. I would like to get this resolved asap that way I can get accepted as a business major and not nursing.
Thankyou
call the admissions office before the application closes (november 30th) and ask to change your major
Yes, call the admissions office and change your major. They do not consider second choice majors for nursing applicants. Plus, I applied for nursing and there are only a few spots, so if you know you’re going to get in but you don’t want to major in nursing, then you’d be doing me a huge favor AND helping yourself!! Good luck on your admission by the way!!
is it too late to call and change your major? the application deadline was due nov. 30th.
@jadely: Just call admissions to see. No one on CC can answer that question but this is what the SDSU website states.
SDSU receives applications from thousands of highly qualified applicants each year. Applicants will only be considered for the primary major listed on the CSU Mentor application, so choose your major wisely. SDSU does not use alternate major for admission consideration. Change of major requests will not be accepted after you submit your admission application."
