Changing major on my last year at UT; is it a terrible idea?

Hello. So I am currently a Psych major, Business minor and I have a great interest in psychology but in the past year I have been questioning if I really want to pursue it in my future career. I know that if I did I would have to attend grad school and so on but I am not sure I want to do that. I took a MIS class this past semester and was incredibly fascinated by the concepts and structures that this field explores. When I was a sophomore I was thinking about changing to CIS but didn't because I convinced myself that psych was for me.

I am now entering my senior year and don't know if I have made a huge mistake. I know that changing would require more time in school, more money spent on school and I don't even know if I could transfer into McCombs business school if I wanted to.

But is it worth a try? Or should I just stick with a psych degree and later try to apply it to something other than psychology dominated careers?

If you can pay for it, go for it.

Can you take a few more courses of interest and graduate on time? If yes, maybe do that, look for a job, think about the next step. Or apply for an Americorps type situation and take the year to think about what to do next and how to pay for it (if it is more school).

I expect that transferring into McCombs as a senior will be pretty tough. Could you go for an MBA instead? Or some other graduate business degree? That’s why I suggest graduating, working, then applying for the next school after some time spent thinking and working.
