changing major to psychology at UCLA

Hi I've been admitted as a bio major to UCLA
but I realized I wanted to major in psychology for various reasons -
I have contacted the psych department at ucla and the lady told me I could not change into psych (impacted).
is there any way that I can change into psych???
I am really desperate.
I have completed all of ucla's psych pre-req's (I put psych as alternate major at the time of application) and I am willing to go through an appeal process if neccessary.

The problem with majoring in bio is that I have already spent 3 years at my cc and I'd have to spend another 3 years at ucla due to course conflicts (specific courses only offered in specific quarters).
Plus, I realized I really do not enjoy chemistry and it will be hard for me to motivate myself to attend those classes and earn a decent grade.

If there is ANY WAY that I could try, please please leave a comment.
THank you all in advance!!

Yeah I read on there website that you could not change majors. But, if you contact the head of the bio department and the head of the psych department, there is still a chance. Because the dean's of those schools can override almost anything.

Psych has been impacted for a long time- they are pretty strict with it, you would have to go to the dean of the department with COMPELLING reasons... very well thought out compelling reasons for why you need the change, also you might want to see the Dean of L&S.

It is true that the dean/chair of the department can approve whatever they want, but, it is very hard and i know various people that did not manage to change into PSYCH.
