I was admitted for fall of 2015 for English, but after spending more time in my AP Psychology class this year I have realized that I instead would like to pursue a career in Psychology. I’m posting this in hopes of hearing back from Cal Poly students or parents of students that have tried changing their major. Also, these two majors are within the same college and Cal Poly bases admission only on the select college, not the actual major so I’m wondering if that would make the change any easier? Thanks 
I believe it’s possible within the same college after completing one quarter of original major. However, changing majors to another college like engineering, etc. would be a challenge. I’m pretty sure that Cal poly automatically plans and registers ur schedule for 1st quarter anyway and they discourage you from adjusting it. But then u can speak with ur advisor after things get going and go from there! I’m sure it will work out. Can’t wait for fall too!
Totally possible! You can only change after your first quarter, but just be sure to talk to an advisor during your first quarter so you can get approved and start going for Psychology starting in Winter Quarter. Good Luck!
