When I applied to UC, I put my primary choice as Biology and my second choice as Mathematics. But now I want to change that. So should I email UC about this change now or just change it if I get admitted?

From what I’ve heard, it doesn’t matter what your major is because you can change it. But I really don’t want to end up stuck with no other options. Advice please? Thanks!

You need to wait until you are admitted and then try to change your first quarter/semester. Admissions will not allow to change until you start in the Fall.

It doesn’t affect admissions unless you want to change to engineering.

I think you can change your choice because those majors are not so competitive. Why not send an email and ask them directly?!!

You can chance your major at orientation. How competitive a major is doesn’t matter unless you’re trying to switch between different schools, like from Film to Architecture.
