I want to change my major choice from mechanical engineering to petroleum engineering. I went to the place where I’m supposed to change my major and there is a list of majors but I don’t see petroleum engineering as an option. How do I change my 2nd choice major to petroleum engineering?
Freshmen are admitted to Texas A&M as general engineering. There is nothing to change or worry about, they make you choose a preference simply for them to look at the statistics. If you have been admitted in Dwight Look COE, you major is general engineering until you apply for the major you want after you have completed the first two semesters. And the reason you wouldn’t see ANY type of engineering an as option to change your major to is because engineering is in such high demand that it is filled up and there is no more space
