hello guys. i’m a sophomore at a community college (in state) and i’m planning on transferring to UW. I have one question. Is it too late to change my major? I want to go into media and communications but i’m scared to because UW might not accept me because i have not taken any classes relating to media and communications, and preparation for major is a big component they look at (right?). Anyone please have any advice/input ? 
I’m really sorry about this but I think it might be a bit late to change your major. Not only because of major preparation, but because UW has a bunch of restrictions about the amount of credits you’re aloud to take before applying into your major. If you do change your major, try to finish all the pre reqs at your cc then apply as a transfer directly into your major. Best of luck!
I would go talk to the CC advisers - they know a lot about what UW expects. And then I’d go make an appointment with the Communication department advisers at UW and see what they way. I spoke to a couple of different department advisers at UW before I applied and they were kind and helpful.
I pulled up the transfer sheet - only two courses! It may be doable!
