Let's say I get into the Engineering school. Am I allowed to change to the Business School after I get in? Is there any specific way of doing it?

Thanks!

If you’re a prospective student and you’re absolutely sure about your major change, I would call the admissions office ASAP. Switching schools (from engineering to business, specifically) changes how an application is considered and is a lot more work than switching majors within schools.

you guys are such freshmen, dear lord. your intended major choice on your application is not binding. relax. call the engineering/business department if it will make you feel better.

Umdterps, how would we know if we’re able to do that? Your condescension is not appreciated here.

I’m not sure of the process (though I am sure there is a process), but you wanna get this done as quickly as you can since you do NOT one to start behind in one of those programs (if engineering is anything to go by).

Also, remember to relax everyone! The stress isn’t going to go away by being rude to others :)

EDIT: Just realized this over a week old and its likely this problem has already been addressed. Whoops.

Changing out of engineering is always easier than transferring in. Don’t worry.
